■■♪デフ・レパードのジョー・エリオットが結婚（BARKS - NEWS）

レパードのVo.ジョー・エリオットが9月1日、アイルランドでアメリカ人婚約者のクリスティンと結婚したそうです。それがどうしたって感じですが、その2人の門出を祝うイベントでエリオットさんはイアン・ハンターと共にビートルズやザ・フーの曲をメドレー演奏した、ってのが面白いというか、イアン・ハンターさんが元気だというのが分かってよかったネタ。

デフ・レパードといえば、ベスト盤『BEST OF DEF LEPPARD／ベスト』が11月10日にリリースされる予定です。

■■♪スコーピオンズ、「ツアーが最高」（BARKS - NEWS）

Vo.のクラウス・マイネ曰く「何年経っても、未だにツアーが最高だよ。ライヴを見に来てくれるファンがいるし、彼らに音楽を提供できるから。とても恵まれてると思う。こうしたことができるバンドはそれほど多くない。パフォーマンスでは、最高のショーをしたい。みんながロックして、ポジティヴなヴァイブをいっぱいに感じてほしい」

この人もう58歳なんだそうです。もうそんなお年なんですな、80年代脚光を浴びた人たちは。今やハードロックはオヤジの音楽って事か（笑）、、、ともかくスコピは、ストレートさと愁いを帯びたメロディが同居したジャーマンメタルの祖です。お薦めは『狂熱の蠍団〜ヴァージン・キラー』、、、と言いたい所ですが、ジャケットに品性がないので（笑）、『禁断の刺青』（写真→）にします。聞きやすい良質のハードロックが満載の優良アルバムです。

■■♪ジョン・レノンのカヴァー・アルバムが再リリース（BARKS - NEWS）

レノン1975年発表のカヴァー・アルバム『Rock 'N' Roll』が、リミックス＆リマスター化され英国で9月27日に再リリースされます。新盤には、オリジナルに加えボーナス・トラック４曲も収録されるそうです。

どうせ買うなら値段も安いしCCCDじゃないしという事でUS盤ですな。いまさら解説読んでも仕方ないですし。50年代の曲のカバーですから、ハッキリ言って少々退屈なアルバムではあります（笑）
